1. Data controller
Quantix Analitic S.A.S., tax ID (NIT) 902045108-2, Cra. 10b #134a-35, Bogotá D.C., Colombia.
This policy is governed by Colombian data protection law, including Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015). The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.
2. Who this applies to
viewQ is software for agricultural companies. Each client company creates its staff accounts and decides what information it records on the platform.
- For the client's operational data (farms, plots, monitoring records, photos and field records), the client company is the controller and Quantix Analitic acts as a processor, handling that data only to provide the service and under the client's instructions.
- For the data needed to operate and support each user's account, Quantix Analitic is the controller.
3. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, the company the user belongs to and their role in it.
- Precise location: the mobile app records the GPS position of each monitoring or sampling point the user saves. It is used only while the app is open; viewQ does not track location in the background.
- Photos: images the user takes or attaches to a record, such as a photo of a finding.
- Code scanning: the camera is used to read barcodes when the user asks it to. Only the scanned code is stored.
- Field records: the information the user captures in the app, such as pest findings, counts, measurements and their date and time.
- Minimal technical data: the app version and the session data needed to keep the user signed in and to sync information.
- Qpasa assistant: the messages the user types or dictates to Qpasa and its replies. If the user uses voice, the audio is transcribed to text and discarded: the audio is not stored. The text of the conversation is kept as a service record.
- Installation identifier: a random code the app generates when it is installed, used to avoid duplicate records when syncing offline. It is not the phone number or a device hardware identifier.
- Code scanner diagnostic data: the Google component that reads barcodes (ML Kit) sends Google technical operating data (device model, operating system version, response times and errors). It does not include the content of the codes or the user's personal data.
viewQ does not collect data for advertising, does not track users across third-party apps or websites, and does not sell personal data.
4. How we use it
- To let users sign in and access their company's information.
- To store, sync and display field records, including those captured offline.
- To place each record in its plot and produce the indicators, alerts and reports the client company uses.
- To provide technical support, keep the service secure and fix errors.
- To meet legal obligations.
5. Consent and device permissions
By using viewQ, the user consents to the processing described in this policy. Location and camera permissions are requested by the phone's operating system, and the user can grant, deny or withdraw them at any time in the device settings. If they are denied, the features that depend on them will not be available. The microphone is used only while the user holds down the Qpasa voice button; the audio is not stored.
6. Who we share it with
- The client company: records captured by a user are visible to the authorized people in their company.
- Infrastructure provider: data is hosted on Microsoft Azure cloud services. Its data centers may be outside Colombia (for example, in Brazil), so data may be transferred or transmitted internationally, under the provider's security safeguards.
- Artificial intelligence providers, acting as processors and handling the data only to provide the service: Microsoft Azure OpenAI, which transcribes voice and converts replies to audio, and Anthropic, which processes the text of conversations with Qpasa. Their servers are in the United States, so there is an international transfer of data.
- Google, which receives the code scanner diagnostic data described in section 3.
- Authorities: when required by law or by an order of a competent authority.
A client company's data is never shared with other client companies.
7. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) between the app and our servers. Access is restricted by user and by company, and infrastructure credentials are kept in secret stores. No system is infallible, but we apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the data.
8. How long we keep it
We keep the data while the client company's viewQ service is active and for any additional period required by law or for the defense of claims. When the service ends, the client company may request delivery or deletion of its information.
9. Your rights
As a data subject, you may:
- access, update and correct your data;
- request proof of the consent you gave;
- be informed of how your data has been used;
- withdraw your consent or request deletion of your data, where there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it;
- file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC);
- access your data free of charge.
10. Exercising your rights and deleting your account
Write to info@quantixanalitic.com with your name, your company and your request. You can also ask your company's administrator to deactivate or delete your account.
- Inquiries are answered within ten (10) business days.
- Claims (correction, update, deletion or withdrawal) are handled within fifteen (15) business days.
If your request concerns data managed by the client company, we will forward it to them to resolve as controller.
11. Minors
viewQ is a work tool for companies and is not directed at minors.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be communicated to client companies.
Version effective October 22, 2026.
